Featured Soap Makers and Soapers –
In the short time I’ve been learining about soaping, I’ve come across some amazing soap creations, that have at times, left me wondering… “how did they make that?” I absolutely love when people go out of the “normal” and into unexplored territory. Perhaps to do that, you have to be the kind of person who isn’t afraid to “trial and error” your way through a few botched batches of “creative” soaps you’re trying to make. I think the end result is always worth it though.
Even if you don’t achieve your desired creation, you probably learned something valuable in the process, right? That being said, I’m sure the most talented soapers and soap makers have made some pretty big sacrifices when it comes to space in their homes, and time spent on learning the trade. These people are dedicated, committed to consistently providing great soaps for their clients, friends and family…and they are are generally generous with their advice and ideas within the soap making communities online and offline. It is because of this that…
We Want to Feature YOU and YOUR SOAP right here!
One of the purposes of this blog is to bring the spotlight onto well-deserving soap makers, and feature some of their creations on our site. As a sparkling new soaper myself, seeing other people’s awesome ideas inspires me to keep learning, even if the learning curve is a bit long.
There are so many who are long-time professionals of the wonderful art of soap making, and yet they have little to no recognition and no special awards to add to their soaping resumes… except for maybe a few ‘those are nice’ comments from among their local friends and family. We want to give gorgeous soaps and their talented artists a nice spot up on this blog, and we’re aiming to do this at least once a week.
If you are a talented soap maker, or happen to know one who is feature-worthy, feel free to contact me to nominate them!

I’m a big fan of Sarva Soaps, which is made here in Cleveland where I live.
I have been using the soap from Sarva Soap (http://www.sarvasoap.com) for several months now. All I can say is – sarva has feature worthy written all over it
. The soap is crafted from 100% natural ingredients by Michelle Gilbert, who makes sure that each bar is beautiful, flawless and wonderful.
I think her soaps are in a class all their own – especially the gallery series, which are especially beautifully crafted. Making gorgeous soaps with all natural ingredients can be a challenge. Scents and colors that many users prefer come from synthetic ingredients. Michelle spends hours and hours in formulation trying to get the perfect scent blend, lather and aesthetically pleasing visuals. Her hard work pays off.
I also love how wonderful my skin feels after using her soap.
Beyond all the accolades I can offer her soap, Michelle has a beautiful personal story about how she became a soapmaker that would make for great reading.
I nominate Sarva Soap at http://sarvasoap.com for a feature.
Thanks!
I received some Sarva Soaps for Christmas and I have nothing but good things to say about them. They are absolutely beautiful, feel great on your skin, and have wonderful scents. I would recommend them to anyone– although I don’t know how much they cost exactly. I would love to see them featured here!
