I’ve found some amazing and creative talent online, and it’s really wonderful to see so many people using their imaginations. I know the art of making soap itself is pretty tough, so when you pair it with unusual soaps, it just gets interesting. I know most of the cooler looking soaps are probably Melt and Pour, but I still can’t help but be in awe!

I’ve always wondered about making soaps with alcoholic beverages like beer and wine. There are plentiful amounts of recipes available, but I still think it would be a matter of my own trial and error before I ever made a beer or wine soap that I actually liked. I’m sure it’s like that for most people?

I think the end result is always worth it though.

Even if you don’t achieve your desired creation, you probably learned something valuable in the process, right?  That being said, I’m sure the most talented soapers and soap makers have made some pretty big sacrifices when it comes to space in their homes, and time spent on learning the trade. These people are dedicated, committed to consistently providing great soaps for their clients, friends and family…and they are are generally generous with their advice and ideas within the soap making communities online and offline. We Want to Feature YOU and YOUR SOAP right here!

One of the purposes of this blog is to bring the spotlight onto well-deserving soap makers, and feature some of their creations on our site. As a sparkling new soaper myself, seeing other people’s awesome ideas inspires me to keep learning, even if the learning curve is a bit long.

There are so many who are long-time professionals of the wonderful art of soap making, and yet they have little to no recognition and no special awards to add to their soaping resumes… except for maybe a few ‘those are nice’ comments from among their local friends and family. We want to give gorgeous soaps and their talented artists a nice spot up on this blog, and we’re aiming to do this at least once a week.

I am Terra, and I run the internet fun at Cibaria Soap Supply (We Sell Soap Oils / Soap Base Oils. I have to say that I’ve learned quite a lot about soap making in the past month or so. Our company, Cibaria International, has launched a Soap Oil Supply division, and I got to create the website and social efforts. To do this, one must learn the trade… the very special trade of soap making.

I have to be honest and say that I am not a crafty person. You know how some people are just “naturally” crafty and more inclined to create nice things with their hands? Well, that’s not me. I am impatient, and it hardly ever turns into a “good situation” when I try to make things that have anything to do with crafts.

I am a typical computer nerd,/ internet geek – minus being a girl in her mid-20′s. That being said, I am stepping way out of my element in saying this, but I am going to try my hand at making soap! If you asked anyone I knew if they’d ever expect me to say those words, they’d laugh at you.

But it’s true… I genuinely want to learn how to make soap. Some of the creations I’ve seen are just gorgeous!  Some of it has been quite creative too,  just look at these truly unique soap ideas…

You soapers are truly a special bunch, and I’m excited to get to know more of you! As a web designer first, I have a deep respect for people who can create unique situations out of ordinary products and everyday novelties. I’ve got some great ideas for soap making adventures!
